Mirrored Reflections is a provocative seven-year-compilation visual storytelling of the Annual Goddess River Healing Retreat (AGRHR)—an intimate gathering of Black and Brown women immersed in animistic restorative spiritual healing rituals, and the re-remembering of the sacred divine feminine. The images serve as mirrors, portals to the raw, authentic, and unapologetic truth of women’s work.
Mirrored Reflections stands as a witness to the power of reimagining, reawakening, and returning to self. It beseeches its viewers to ask: How do the reflections of this story serve as a mirror to my own story and how am I empowered by this truth telling?
Purposefully curated, the Mirrored Reflections exhibition blends traditional photography with tactile consecrated altars, taking you on a sequential journey through the AGRHR. Traveling through six focal points of installations: Offering, Procession, Womb, Rebirth, Muva, and Liberation, the exhibition seamlessly transports you from an observer in a gallery space, to an active participant in a living sanctum.
